All Personal Care

Our personal care services are designed to support daily comfort, safety, and independence for seniors in our adult family homes across Seattle, Lake Forest Park, and Kirkland. We provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, incontinence care, transferring, and mobility support. Our team also offers medication assistance, oxygen support, and close monitoring to ensure each resident’s health needs are consistently met. Every aspect of care is delivered with attention to dignity, routine, and individual preference—creating a dependable, supportive environment for seniors who need ongoing personal care.

24/7 Personal Assistance

JoyTera maintains a well-trained, experienced caregiving team available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week—including dedicated awake night staff. This around-the-clock support ensures residents receive immediate assistance with personal care, mobility, medication, and safety monitoring at any time of day or night. With continuous supervision and responsive care, families can have confidence knowing their loved one is supported in a secure, attentive environment at all times.

Nutrition & Home-Cooked Meals

We prepare healthy and fresh meals in-house every single day, tailoring every bite to your loved one’s unique taste and dietary needs. Comprehensive In-Home Medical Care

Your health is our top priority, and we bring first-class care right to your doorstep. JoyTera regularly coordinates with visiting professionals including registered nurses, Physical Therapists (PT), Doctors or Nurse Practitioners (ARNP), Podiatrists, and Speech Therapists. If you do not want to travel, you won’t have to! We bring the medical experts to our adult family homes to ensure seamless support for our residents.

Enriching Social Activities & Live Music

A life with fun is a life worth living! We cultivate a vibrant social atmosphere with weekly live music sessions that will make you want to dance. Whether it’s singing along to a classic or engaging in our varied group activities, there is always something happening to keep spirits high and connections strong within our community homes.

Specialized Memory Care

JoyTera holds a specialized dementia specialty license, allowing us to provide expert, compassionate care for residents living with memory problems and cognitive challenges. We create a safe, stable, and nurturing environment specifically designed to support the unique needs of those with Alzheimer’s or dementia, ensuring safety, dignity, and expert attention every step of the way.

Nursing Assistant Certified (NA-C) or Registered (NA-R)

First Aid and CPR certified

Nurse Delegation certified

Food Handler's permit

Dementia Specialty Certification

Mental Health Specialty Certification

Criminal Background check (WA State Patrol and FBI)

We prioritize the security of our family environments above all else. Every JoyTera employee undergoes a rigorous Criminal Background check, including Washington State Patrol and FBI fingerprint checks. We only hire the most trustworthy individuals to care for your loved ones.

Aids / HIV and infection control certified

Proactive health management is a cornerstone of our care approach. Our staff are fully AIDS / HIV and infection control certified, utilizing industry-best practices to maintain a clean, safe, and protective living environment for all residents and their families.

Twelve hours of yearly continuing education

Senior care is constantly evolving, and so are we. Our caregivers complete twelve hours of yearly continuing education to remain current on the latest advancements in nursing assistance and elder care homes.
