Our Adult Family home in North Seattle, our Alicia Park Home offers convenient access just minutes from Northgate and the University of Washington—making visits and medical appointments simple and accessible.
Lake Forest Park Home
Our Adult Family Home in Lake Forest Park on NE 165th Street provides a quiet, residential setting with easy access to nearby shops, parks, and everyday essentials.
Kirkland Home
Our Adult Family Home in Kirkland’s forested Inglewood neighborhood, this home offers a peaceful, private environment just a short drive from Kenmore Town Center.

Personalized Care
JoyTera is led by a resident owner and nurse who personally oversees each resident’s care, ensuring consistency, attention to detail, and a high standard of support.
Every care plan is thoughtfully designed around the individual—tailored to specific needs, preferences, and daily routines.
Residents enjoy fresh, home-cooked meals prepared in-house each day, supporting both nutrition and comfort.
Comprehensive medical and nursing care is coordinated directly within the home, including resident and visiting RNs, occupational and physical therapy, physician services, hospice care, podiatry, and more—bringing the care your loved one needs into a familiar, comfortable environment.

Joyce Makori

Owner of JoyTera Care Homes
Nurse Joyce has been practicing Nursing in the local hospitals in various specialties including but not limited to Psychiatric and Mental health since 2008.
She got interested and opened her first JoyTera AFH in Seattle in 2017. Joyce is focused in making the difference in her AFH communities. Check us out or come and see what CARE looks like!

Home Manager
Millicent is beautiful inside and outside.She’s the definition of dependability.
Millicent has been working at JoyTera for 7 yrs straight. She’s worked her way up as the Manager at one if the houses.

Eric has been with JoyTera for 4 yrs. He’s smart, honest, caring, hardworking and very pleasant. Eric is loved by both co workers and the Clients that he works with.
